Asiamold Select Witnesses Wisdom Mixing and Innovation Breakthrough in Mold Industry
Starting from 2027, the 21st edition of the exhibition will relocate to Shenzhen, bringing it closer to the core cluster of China’s mould‑making industry. Shenzhen and its neighbouring cities including Dongguan and Huizhou form one of China’s most densely‑populated mould‑industry regions.
At present, the Pearl River Delta boasts a mould‑industry output of approximately RMB 198 billion. Shenzhen and Dongguan together contribute 78% of the region’s industrial added value. Bao’an District in Shenzhen is home to over 1,200 mould enterprises, among which high‑precision mould firms account for more than 45%. Dongguan hosts more than 20,000 mould‑related business entities. The hardware mould industrial cluster in Changan Town enables a closed‑loop procurement covering raw materials through accessories within a 30‑minute driving radius.
The 2027 exhibition will be held concurrently with Formnext Asia Shenzhen. Mould manufacturing and additive manufacturing feature natural complementary technical pathways. Additive manufacturing is indispensable for processes such as conformal cooling, rapid prototype validation and direct forming of complex structures.The co‑location of the two events will fully cover both subtractive manufacturing and additive manufacturing. It will deliver a complete one‑stop forming‑technology solution for industries across the Guangdong‑Hong Kong‑Macao Greater Bay Area, ranging from mould machining to rapid prototyping.
